The Ministry of Culture, Telnov explained, is guided by the provisions of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which prohibits censorship. He noted that the ministry watched the film and drawn up a conclusion on its compliance with the legislation. “There is nothing banned in the film,” said the director of the department of cinematography.
“We issued a rental certificate throughout the territory of Russia, there are rolling film companies on each territory, which are displayed in the regions,” Telnov explained, adding that it is impossible to exclude some subjects from a rental certificate.
“Nevertheless, the executive authorities of the regions, guided by the traditions and customs of the peoples living on their territory, can independently determine the feasibility of showing a particular film,” Telnov said.
