Suleimanov was announced guilty under Part 2 of Article 207 of the Russian Criminal Code (knowingly false message about the terrorist attack with causing major damage).

In the debate of the parties, the prosecutor requested two years of general regime for the defendant .

Suleimanov himself pleaded guilty, but did not agree with the amount of damage. The lawyer Kurbedinov, speaking in the debate, emphasized that "absolutely no evidence of real damage was presented, everything is built on assumptions."

27 -year -old Suleimanov - Crimean Tatar from the village of Ivanovka Simferopol district. In 2011, having returned from a military service in the Ukrainian army, he got a job as a security guard in the pre-trial detention center-1, in which he himself is now concluded. In the pre -trial detention center, Suleimanov worked for a year, after which he went to the army under a contract. He served in the unit in the village of Perevalnaya Simferopol district.

After the annexation of Crimea, Suleimanov refused to accept the Russian oath and went to the continental Ukraine. He settled in Zaporozhye and worked there, periodically coming to the captured peninsula to visit his parents. On July 30, 2016, during the next visit to the Crimea, Suleimanov was detained when he went on a date with his girlfriend.

The Crimean Tatar was arrested for 15 days in a fabricated administrative case of petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Russian Administrative Code), and on August 12, the FSB extended its testimony with recognition in involvement in the preparation of terrorist attacks.

According to Suleimanov, on the instructions of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, he was looking for places for sabotage and left false messages about mining to follow the actions of the Russian security forces. According to Politzek, he was recruited in Zaporozhye in the fall of 2016 by a certain employee of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR). It was reported that in July 2016, the Crimean Tatar met with the Ukrainian intelligence officer in Odessa, and then, on his behalf, called the police and included an entry with the threat of blowing up the airport and the central bus station of Simferopol, as well as objects in other cities.

Kurbedinov does not exclude that Suleimanov, out of patriotic motives, really agreed to the proposal of a person who submitted a Ukrainian intelligence officer, but this person could be an agent of the Russian special services.

Initially, Suleimanov was charged with part 1 of Article 207 of the Russian Criminal Code (without a qualifying attribute "with causing major damage"), the sanction of which is up to three years of colony. In the future, the accusation was tightened.

It was reported that the special service tried to "tie" the Politzek to the group of Evgeny Panov - Andrei Zachtei. " However, he never became a defendant in the case of preparing sabotage.
