Detained hunger strikers in the Stavropol Territory are in the police department

The participants of the hunger strike in the village of Yessentuki, detained by the police, are in the police department of the Predgorny district. This was reported to OVD-Info by one of the detainees, a hunger striker, a candidate for deputies of the village council of the village, Aleksey Maltsev.

The hunger strike took place in the building of the local recreation center, which is located opposite the administration building. The reason for the hunger strike was the withdrawal of 27 candidates from the Communist Party from the elections to the village council. According to Maltsev, the participants of the hunger strike were told that a fire safety event would be held in the building of the recreation center, so when they were on hunger strike, the alarm sounded all the time, they were asked to leave due to the fact that a fire had started on the loudspeaker.

In total, as Maltsev said, eight people were detained. One of the detainees, Andrey Serdyukov, was subjected to force during the detention, he had a concussion, he was taken to the hospital.

According to Maltsev, they are going to draw up protocols against the hunger strikers under articles on arbitrariness (Article 19.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and disobedience to the lawful demands of police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). Earlier it was reported that during the arrest, the hunger strikers were accused of petty hooliganism (Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
