According to the results of the first half of 2017, the average cost of one smartphone sold in the MegaFon Retail retail network was 8,200, which is a thousand rubles more than last year.
In 2017, for the first time, models costing 7 and 19 thousand rubles entered the TOP-5 of the most popular devices - these are Samsung Galaxy J1 LTE and Apple iPhone 5s.
“Budget smartphones are still in high demand among Novosibirsk residents. However, those subscribers who bought an inexpensive smartphone as their first device 2–3 years ago now choose a more expensive and productive solution to replace it. In addition, the increase in the average cost of a smartphone was influenced by the return of Samsung smartphones to our retail network,” said Galiya Sayfutdinova, director of Novosibirsk MegaFon.
