The court found Zlobina guilty of violating the rules of participation in a public event (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) for having a poster and imposed a fine on the activist. The decision will be appealed, said lawyer Mikhail Benyash.
“The city administration filed a complaint with the police against the rally participants, as follows from the case materials. The public relations officer... asked to check the legitimacy of the posters, one of which was mine. The court found violations in the poster,” Zlobina told Caucasian Knot.
The rally on August 5 was attended by owners of cottages and land plots in the village of Pushkinsky Dol, who suffered due to fraudulent transactions with their land. The event was also attended by members of a fishing cooperative, from whom the authorities are demanding to vacate a section of the coast, and representatives of 400 families who bought apartments in a building recognized as an illegal construction.
On the day of the action, the police did not make any claims against the participants and organizers of the event. However, some time after the rally, police came to Zlobina’s work and drew up a report on an administrative violation.
Several dozen of the activist’s associates came to today’s trial. After the court hearing, they were met by law enforcement officers and demanded to sign protocols on administrative violations for violating the rules of participation in the rally (Part 5 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The organizer of the rally, Nikolai Sokol, and the rally participant, Olga Batrakova, spoke about this.
