There is money for the militarization of the country, for the war in Syria, for the maintenance of the subsidized Crimea seized by force, foreign Abkhazia, but for culture in Russia there is no enough - we need to optimize costs,” writes the publicist on LiveJournal .

“Six months before the presidential elections in Russia, this state of affairs speaks well of V.V. Putin’s priorities – war instead of culture.

Expenditure on culture is the most important priority for our country. They are much more important than spending on any kind of defense - no one is going to attack our country, there is no military threat.

Culture, along with education, medicine and science, are sectors in which “human capital” is created.

“It is correct to discuss spending priorities, but if we want our country to form sources of strategic growth and achieve competitiveness in the global economy, then culture, science, education and medicine should be the main priorities of budget policy for many years.

It is possible to ensure the security of our country not by increasing military spending, but by solving the problem of Crimea and the occupied parts of Ukraine in the east, by refusing to recognize the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia - by normalizing relations with Georgia. The same applies to the problem of Transnistria - it’s time to stop supporting the mafia authorities, connected by murky ties with the Russian authorities, and promote the integration of Transnistria into Moldova.

Let's do all this - Russia will gradually be recognized as part of the Western world and we will provide the opportunity to create a new Russia - a complete break with the Soviet regime.

It is especially significant that V.V. Putin and his subordinates are cutting costs on activities related to the development of “museum and archival affairs.”

And this is on the 80th anniversary of the “Great Terror” (1 million 600 thousand arrested, more than 680 thousand executed), when, on the contrary, it is necessary to completely open the archives of the Soviet era for everyone in the FSB, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense. This means, on the contrary, additional funds are needed and they can be found by ending Russia’s participation in the civil war in Syria - far from Russian borders.

However, why does the Russian authorities need cultured, educated people? He needs serfs. Because cultured and educated people will never tolerate the kind of rulers that Russia has today."
