Primorye promised to allocate 650 million rubles to flood victims

The government has promised to allocate 650 million rubles for material assistance and compensation to those affected by the flood in the Primorsky Territory, the reports . regional Ministry of Emergency Situations

The money will be allocated from the government's reserve fund.

According to the department, the government is preparing lists of victims. Special assessment commissions will determine to whom to assign payments. The commission includes employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and representatives of departments of the regional administration. They have already inspected 1,400 houses.

“The commission’s specialists help the victims to draw up documents for receiving one-time material, as well as financial assistance in connection with the partial or complete loss of property that occurred due to a natural disaster,” the department said.

Recall that on August 7 and 8 occurred heavy rains in the region. More than 2 thousand houses were flooded, 12 sections of roads were damaged, and there were also interruptions in electricity and communications. Rain washed out the railroad tracks on the section of the Trans-Siberian Railway between Ussuriysk and Vladivostok.

The Khasansky district in the southwest of Primorye turned out to be cut off from the world. Because of the rain, the Khasan-Razdolnoye road was washed away in several places.
