Krasnodar journalist Andrei Koshik continues to receive threats from unknown people.
The journalist told OVD-Info that on August 12 at 06:01, calls from the number 79628779572 began to arrive on his phone, and then within a few minutes from the same number he began to receive sms messages with profanity containing threats of physical violence and insults.
Earlier it was reported that Andrei Koshik received threats from different numbers, including from the same number from which OVD-Info received unreliable information that "journalists Vyacheslav Potapenko and Andrey Korshik" (an unknown interlocutor of OVD-Info distorted the names of Koshik and Sovetskaya Kuban correspondent Vyacheslav Potapov) were attacked by employees of a private security company while trying to interview and film a report next to the land plot of entrepreneur Robert Khakhalev
- The first SMS and calls began to arrive on August 2-3, but immediately stopped, - says Kaushik. - Then the caller introduced himself as an activist, to whom the farmers turned with complaints about the structures of the Pokrovsky concern, asked in detail if I was writing about this. I answered that yes, since for several years I have been covering the activities of the Rostov concern in the Krasnodar Territory and numerous complaints from farmers, local agricultural enterprises, and shareholder about its aggressive policy. After that, SMS with insults and threats began to arrive from the same number. On August 3, I filed an application with the police department for the Western District of Krasnodar, after which the calls and SMS stopped and this morning they began to come again.
According to Kaushik, the authors of the messages indicate his personal data, so he fears that they may know his address. Koshik connects threats with his journalistic activities, as he has recently been actively covering the activities of the Pokrovsky concern.
- Literally on Wednesday (August 9 - OVD-Info ), I talked with police representatives working on my application, they said that the numbers are "left", that is, they are not issued for a specific person, so it will be difficult to establish the author of the messages, - added Koshik . - But the consideration of my application continues, including by the technical specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
