
When equipping the Research Institute of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology of the Russian Oncological Scientific Center named after Blokhina in Moscow was illegally brought abroad 2.6 million euros allocated from the federal budget. This was announced on Monday by the Federal Customs Service.
From Italy to Russia, the publication says, a system for the preparation of radiopharmaceutical drugs was transported through Lithuania. Some "participants in the organized criminal group" during transportation replaced the commercial documents, increasing the cost of equipment almost three times - from 1.87 million euros to 5.25 million.
As can be concluded from the publication, part of this difference was brought abroad.
The police opened the case under paragraph “A” of part 3 of Article 193.1 of the Criminal Code (currency transactions on an especially large scale using false documents), which provides for 5 to 10 years of the colony.
In addition, the FCS states, when the equipment delivered from Italy, inaccurate information was indicated from Italy. The case on this fact was initiated by the TFR. It is qualified under part 4 of Article 194 of the Code (evasion of customs payments made by an organized group). For this crime, the Criminal Code provides for terms of 7 to 12 years.
