The Russian Foreign Ministry announced evidence of the supply of West countries by the Him weapons to militants to Syria. This was the official representative of the department Maria Zakharova on the air of the Vesti FM radio station. RBC recalls that earlier the Foreign Ministry of Syria announced that chemical ammunition made in the USA had been found in the capital of Damascus.
"Yes, it is like this: the Western countries and regional powers, including directly or indirectly, were supplied to militants, terrorists and extremists who were operating on the territory of Syria, similar poisoning prohibited substances," Zakharova said on radioir. According to her, now, when there is a analysis of the consequences of the Civil War in Syria, "there are directly material evidence" of such supplies.
She recalled that Syria, Russia and "international experts" spoke of the existence of evidence that terrorists receive supply from countries that "are committed in words to democratic principles, international law."
Zakharova also once again criticized the organization of civilian rescuers "White Helmets". According to her, they are supported by Western countries, and at the same time they “falsify” their data on the provision of humanitarian assistance to the local population and are “personally involved in hostilities”.
On Wednesday, August 16, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Minister Faisal Mikad said that shells made in the USA and Great Britain found Damascus in the liberated suburb of Damascus. He accused the Western countries of violation of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
At the same time, the West, with the support of the UN, accuses the regime of Syrian President Bashar al -Assad of the use of chemical weapons. One of the chemical attacks occurred in August 2013 in a suburb of Damascus. The UN and the organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons were then responsible for it to the Syrian government. After that, an agreement was reached with the Syrian authorities on the elimination of chemical weapons. The execution was reported in January 2016.
However, in April 2017, Himataka took place in Khan-Sheikhun in the province of Idlib, during which more than 80 people died and about 500 were injured. The United States and Western countries were responsible for the attack on Assad. US President Donald Trump authorized a rocket blow to the Shayrat air base in Syria - it was from there, as he announced, Syrian planes that dropped chemical ammunition on Khan Sheikhun flew out.
