On the evening of August 17, police officers conducted a search at the election headquarters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny in Voronezh. Staff employee Ekaterina Yanshina spoke about this.
OVD-InfoLaw enforcement officers searched for drugs at the headquarters, but found nothing. Afterwards, they took the coordinator and the staff member to the police department to check them for drug use. The police told the detainees to turn off their phones.
During the search, six laptops were confiscated from the headquarters - all the personal equipment of employees and volunteers.
On the afternoon of August 17, police also came to search the Voronezh charitable foundation “Rassvet,” which helps the homeless and drug addicts. They searched the fund for drugs, but found nothing. The police detained one of the Rassvet employees, who is suspected of manufacturing and distributing narcotic substances.
