The Supreme Court of Crimea upheld the arrest of those involved in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case.

On August 18, the Supreme Court of Crimea refused to satisfy the appeal of six defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir case in Crimea and thus left them under arrest until October 8, 2017. This is reported by the site "Crimea. Realities". Those arrested are accused of activities of a terrorist organization and preparations for a violent seizure of power.

On August 4, the Supreme Court of Crimea extended the term of arrest until October 8 for Emir-Usein Kuk and Vadim Siruk, defendants in the Hizb ut-Tahrir Case. Enver Bekirov, Muslim Aliyev, Refat Alimov and Arsen Dzhepparov also remain in custody.

“The court session was closed, and the relatives were not even allowed to announce the decision,” said Dilyaver Memetov, coordinator of the Crimean Solidarity public association.

In July 2017, was completed the investigation into the Yalta case of Hizb ut-Tahrir . The criminal case against Emir-Usein Kuku, Enver Bekirov, Vadim Siruk and Muslim Aliyev, as well as Refat Alimov and Arsen Dzhepparov, who were arrested later, was transferred to the prosecutor's office. The investigation considers Aliyev the head of the cell, the rest - ordinary members.

Aliyev, Kuku, Bekirov and Seruk were arrested in February 2016 after searches were made in the homes of Crimean Tatars. According to Novaya Gazeta, the arrests and searches were brutal, the police broke doors and windows, and one of the detainees had a bag put over his head. Alimov and Dzhepparov were arrested in April 2016.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. Cases of terrorism have been opened in different regions of the country, while members of the cells of the organization are accused and sentenced to various terms in a strict regime colony only on the basis that they met in apartments, read religious literature and recruited new members.
