The statement of official Kyiv says that the actions of the Russian president violate the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and are a “cynical and demonstrative” neglect of international law.
On August 18, Putin arrived in Crimea with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. In Sevastopol, they visited a set of monuments to the defenders of the city during the Great Patriotic War.
