All the victims were hospitalized with wounds of varying severity," the message said.

"At present, the investigators identified the attacker, according to preliminary data, this is a local resident born in 1994. Information characterizing materials on a young person is requested, information about his possible mental abnormalities will be checked," the Investigative Committee notes. The message is not called the name of the attacker.

A number of media reports that the name of the attacker is Bobichel Abdurahmanov. At the same time, according to other sources, it was 19-year-old Arthur Gadzhiev.

A criminal case was opened on the fact of the attack under part 3 of article 30 - paragraph "A" of part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code (attempted murder of two or more persons).

It was also reported that the attacker threw a smoke saber into one of the shopping centers of Surgut. Several trade and entertainment centers of the city after the incident were temporarily closed .

In the afternoon, the police officially refuted the information about the accomplice of the attacker, who allegedly also attacked passers -by, but disappeared. "Information about the detention of an unknown man in Surgut at 9 Mayakovsky is not related to the incident that occurred this morning on Bazhov Street," the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs said in a statement.

Four victims are in serious condition, said Vladislav Nigmatulin, Deputy Director of the Department of Health of the District. "All the victims were taken to the Surgut Trumpatological Hospital. There are no children among the injured children. Three, according to preliminary data, have a condition of moderate severity, the four are difficult. They are in the operating room," Nigmatulin said.
