Rap, as you know, is an abbreviation, revealed as "rhythmic African poetry" or "radical American poetry." In any case, this is a return to a certain folk archaic sources. In Russia, it was the so -called razhnik. Once in modern times, in the nineteenth century, the artist Fedotov, who exhibited on the street and advertised his paintings, resorted to him. You can call another very loud example of such a rawl in Russian poetry - this is the famous poem of the Twelve Bloc, written, as the researchers noted, in the poetics of a street verse. The current rap is distinguished by one property: this is a dialogue, collision, battle, battle (English "battles") of rappers. I once saw such a battles in the film about Eminem "Eight Miles". This fashion, as we see, reached Russia.

The Russian rappers are undoubtedly inherent in the artistic attitude, even more precisely - it is poetic, characterized by attention to the word. Their pseudonyms themselves talk about this. Oximiron-in the world Miron Fedorov-writes himself with three "x"-Oxxxymiron, which in English means a censorship prohibiting pornography. There is the word "oxymoron", but our rapper is a man with English educational experience and even defended a diploma in English medieval poetry (we will again pay attention to this archaic attitude). Oxymoron is such a rhetorical figure that combines logically incompatible concepts, a usual example: wooden iron. That is, cultural associations to these rappers are by no means alien, as well as verbal ingenuity. The opponent of Oximiron is purulent, named Vyacheslav Mashnov, calls himself the glory of the CPSU. It seems to me that he produced the current pseudonym from one story by Vladimir Sorokin, where the so -called purulent struggle, abbreviated by Gebe, was invented. There is one more rule in the battles of rappers: they are forbidden to use verb rhymes - evidence of again advanced poetic culture.

I would add my own comments: this incident, the event, the event, speaking-not, resembles the performances of the first futurists, and not Mayakovsky comes to mind, but rather twisted with his famous "holes of Bul Shchil". I must say that I rather liked this story. She falls very stylishly on the current conversations about the protest potential of Russian youth, as if attested to recent street demonstrations. Here you can, of course, recall what Russian futurism was in a wide cultural turn: evidence and symptom of the coming revolution, and by no means an artistic one. But we will not walk so far, let us recall the past relatively recent, and not Russian, but French: May 1968 in France. That protest was relatively peaceful, beaten people (and mostly glass), of course, were, but there seemed to be killed - neither from the rebels, nor from the police. In general, it was not a revolution, but a carnival in the interpretation of Bakhtin. In the potential Russian phenomenon of this kind - and to that it seems that the notorious riot police is unlikely to reveal such philanthropy. And the coming Russian May can turn into the former January 1905, that is, a bloody resurrection. With all the ensuing consequences.
