The general director of the largest bread manufacturer in Moscow was arrested. He is suspected of defrauding shareholders

In Moscow, the general director of the city's largest bread producer Nastyusha, Igor Pinkevich, was arrested. The company reported this on August 20, although a preventive hearing was scheduled in the Tverskoy Court for August 18.

Pinkevich is suspected of fraud on an especially large scale (from 12 million rubles) during the construction of the Tsaritsyno-1 and Tsaritsyno-2 residential areas. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

In "Nastyusha" construction delays are explained by the economic crisis. They noted that Pinkevich suffered a stroke and was brought to court from the hospital.

A TASS source in law enforcement agencies said that Pinkevich, according to investigators, stole the funds of 6,000 people who invested in the construction of residential buildings. On August 19 (the next day after the appointed court), the chairman of the IC, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to organize a meeting with equity holders.

• The construction of the residential complex "Tsaritsyno" began in 2006 and was supposed to be completed in 2012.
• Nastyusha owns eight Moscow bakeries, which provide 60 percent of the bakery market in the city.
