At the Mir mine of the company "ALROSA", a new threat of flooding arose in the search operation zone. This was reported by the press service of the Siberian Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia.

"Water, which continues to accumulate in the career of the Mir mine (Yakutia), at any time can fall into mining, where searches are being conducted. Attempts to control the water descent from the career were not brought," the message said.

Due to the large water supply in the near future, pumping units can fall under flooding, there is a danger of failure of energy supply and ventilation systems. Conducting rescue work in such conditions is impossible.

At the expanded technical council, representatives of Rostekhnadzor, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB, and the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and design organizations decided to "hold a series of narrowly focused explosions in a cup of career to expand the space between the career and the mine, which will make the controlled water descent." Rostekhnadzor issued a permit for the operation.

On August 4, at 16:30 local time (10:30 Moscow time) there was a breakthrough of 200 thousand cubic meters of groundwater into a mine from a quarry. After a few hours, the water subsided. At the time of the accident, 151 people were in the mine. 142 of them were raised to the surface on the day of the accident. Two received easy injuries, they provided medical care.

Another Shakhtar was saved the next day. He was hospitalized with a lung bruise and hypothermia. The fate of the eight miners remains unknown.

The rescuers established the electronic marks with which the helmets of miners are equipped that at the time of the accident were four missing people at the level of 310 meters underground. However, rescuers are not able to break into this horizon.

As stated in Alrosa, the cause of flooding was an uncontrolled increase in water flow from the cup of the waste quarry. This happened due to the "sharp deterioration of mining and geological conditions" and the erosion of the hosts in the career, representatives of the company explained. They argue that the work on the mine was carried out with safety requirements, the mine was never recognized as emergency and production has never been suspended due to emergency situations.

From the moment the mine put into operation, he constantly encountered the problem of the waterfront. The volume of flow of technical water significantly exceeded the planned level, which threatened safety. On July 29, local media reported that in connection with an increase in the flow of water on the horizon of 320 meters, the MIR MIR ministry management decided to install additional pumping units on the horizon. In addition, the drilling of additional wells to the Mir quarry was started to organize water flowing water into the main water collector on the horizon of 210 meters.

On the same day, on July 29, Alrosa reported about the collapse of the breed at the mine of the Mir mine, as a result of which one of the workers was blocked in the car. The mine worked as usual, the evacuation was not carried out. The blocked worker was saved and taken to the city hospital.

Mir Miro - the first developed radio deposit of diamonds in Yakutia. It was opened in 1955, the quarry has a diameter of 1.2 km and a depth of 525 meters. Open development was discontinued in 2001.
