Marse Field in St. Petersburg was expelled from the list of guide parks. The decree of the city government was published on the official website of Smolny, it was signed by the city governor Georgy Poltavchenko.
The representative of the head of St. Petersburg Andrei Kibitov stated in a conversation with Fontanka that Poltavchenko decided to exclude Marse field from the list of guide parks due to “mass appeals of citizens who complained about rallies on a mass grave”.
In August, it became known that representatives of a number of city municipalities turned to the St. Petersburg governor Georgy Poltavchenko with a request to exclude Marse field from among the city guide parks.
Now in St. Petersburg there are four guide park left, where the coordination of events is not required -these are territories in the specific park, Polyustrovsky Park, the garden named after 30th anniversary of October and South Primorsky Park.
