Closed Moscow club "Rabitsa"

On the evening of Monday, August 21, the closure of the Moscow Club Rabitsa was announced, where a police raid passed two weeks ago, and a case for storage of drugs was launched for one of its founders.

“We are forced to close the club, the decision is dictated by an elementary consideration of security that we cannot guarantee our guests at events at this address,” the club said on the club’s Facebook.

On August 6, during a musical party, police broke into Rabitsa. They beat the musicians, visitors and employees of the club, two of its founders were detained, against one of them, Ivan Radzievsky, the case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing of narcotic drugs without a large amount of sales”).

Since then, the club remains sealed. “Now our lawyers continue to work to ensure that we can freely get into our club, as well as return our equipment seized without any reason by law enforcement officials,” the Rabitsa team reports.
