The court allowed the ex-governor of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh to get married in a pre-trial detention center

The Presnensky Court of Moscow gave permission for the marriage of the former governor of the Kirov region Nikita Belykh with his fiancee Ekaterina Reifert. about this Interfax writes with reference to lawyer Marina Yarosh.

“The judge told us that after being questioned as a witness on September 5, Ekaterina will be given the opportunity to meet with Nikita Yuryevich in the pre-trial detention center for marriage,” Yarosh said.

Earlier, the Presnensky Court, during preliminary hearings, extended Belykh's arrest for six months, until February 6, 2018.

“The court finds the measure of restraint previously chosen by Belykh to be lawful and justified, since the need for its election is confirmed by the actual circumstances of the case,” Judge Tatyana Vasyuchenko said in the ruling.

Earlier it was reported that Belykh's bride cannot get permission to meet him for marriage, as she is a witness in his case.

Nikita Belykh was detained on June 24, 2016 in a restaurant in Moscow. The next day, he was charged with taking a bribe totaling 400,000 euros and a criminal case was opened.

According to investigators, Belykh received bribes for actions in favor of the bribe-giver and the Novovyatsky Ski Plant and Forest Management Company controlled by him. Belykh denies his guilt.

Later, another bribery case was opened against Nikita Belykh under Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It is connected with the possible receipt of a bribe in the amount of 200 thousand euros from businessman Albert Laritsky.

Lawyers suggested placing house arrest or releasing Belykh on bail of 10 million rubles.
