Ksenia Sukhoruki chained herself in chains to the monument to Lenin in Novosibirsk, protesting against the censorship and turning Russia into a police state. This was reported on the website "Sib.fm".
Sukhoruki dressed in a “bloodied” shirt, tied her mouth, took the flag of Russia and, climbing the pedestal of the monument, riveted itself to the statue. Sukhoruki attached the signs with the inscriptions “I am dying”, “police”, “fear”, “corruption” and “censorship”. Thus, the girl symbolized the dying country.
A dozen police officers gathered at the monument. They drove the journalists from him until rescuers arrived who sawed the chain and freed the Sukhoruki. The girl was taken to the hospital, and later the doctors transferred her to the police, who took her to the police department. There, from Sukhoruki, they took explanations without drawing up an administrative protocol.
According to the girl, every detail of the performance of the performance had its own meaning:
The main idea is to show the dying Russia: it should be silent with blood. The nightie symbolizes sleeping Russia. A tied mouth is censorship. Chains are hopelessness.
