Direct speech
Georgy Satarov“The space of ideas (“ Third World ”by Popper) is heterogeneous. And in addition to ideology, there are values, for example, basic values. And what consolidates society is, first of all, not ideology, but values. And we have a shortage primarily in this. Ideologies have the right to exist, this is a normal phenomenon, and ideology cannot be generally consolidating, because they are more specifically compared to some basic value system oriented to certain groups of people with certain interests. They have the right to compete, including in the political market. The state has no right to be a participant in this competition. But values are changing. They need to be changed. But they change very slowly. And we must start with this. As Kant said: “Any reform should begin with a reform in the heads,” and we believe that reforms are in laws, which is wrong, ” - from an interview with George Satarov
“Sociologists now say that 80% of Russians support the president. But I do not agree with these numbers, they are a little about that. This is rather an exam for the correct answer, not public opinion. In society, indifference dominates "the main thing is that they do not molest me." And when people come to people with the questions “Do you love Putin?”, They just “correctly” answer this question. This is another social reality, not related to public opinion, the ability to speak freely and access to information to generate one’s opinion as such, ” from the commentary of George Satarov about the protest movement in modern Russia
“The possibility of changes in the social order is contained in the most social order. This possibility can be named by the term chaos (randomly disorder, unpredictability). The social order contains in itself structures (roles, functions, institutions, fields), designed to maintain, reproduction of chance. To the extent that the social order is able to protect these structures, to the same extent, it contains the possibility of social changes. <...> Chaos generators, built into social order as its integral part, worked to solve social problems. They stretched from exits from crisis situations, when the usual social practices turned out to be inconspicuous to the preparation and implementation of social changes, ” from the article“ How Social Changes are possible: analysis of one hypothesis ””
