In 2017, photo projects on colta.ru are divided into several blocks. For the fourth of them, we announced Open Call, urging photographers to share with us our works, revealing the topic "Modernity". We graduated from the reception of projects and publish the best of them. This time-“Summer-2018” Mark Zhuravsky.
The summer of 2018 in Moscow is not much different from the summer of 2017. You only feel the rapid approach of technological singularity and the heyday of transgumanism. The society of recently collapsed and immersed in the Chaos of the 90s is trying to keep up with the pace of technological progress and gives rise to new images, new heroes, and new cultural codes.
What is it, Russia, which we will find in which the children and grandchildren of people, whose childhood passed without the Internet? Will an exoskeleton work without a crutch? Will the quantum computer start without kicking on the case? Can a neural network understand and simulate the Russian “tear” and is it possible to interfere with synthetic food with vodka? Having started this project in the summer of 2017, I plan to continue observations and build forecasts until the 2018 summer project indicated in the heading of the project.
