It is alleged that these were the leaders and members of the so-called Malgobek gang, involved in the murders of police officers and the shelling of the FSB building in Malgobek and other crimes. During the shootout, a powerful explosion occurred in the house where the militants were hiding. No one was injured among security forces or civilians.
“When clearing out the rubble in the basement of the house where the bandits were hiding, an underground bunker was discovered, adapted for long-term autonomous living, from which the following were seized: three grenade launchers, two machine guns, three pistols and a homemade Khattabka grenade, blanks for making IEDs, explosives, cartridges of various calibers, detonators, radio stations,” the National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) reported.
According to NAC specialists, this evidence indicates that in the basement there was a workshop for the manufacture of explosive devices.
