A participant on duty at the scene of Nemtsov’s murder died after the attack on the Bolshoy Moskvoretsky Bridge

Activist Ivan Skripnichenko, who participated in vigils at the scene of the murder of Boris Nemtsov on the Bolshoi Moskvoretsky Bridge, died a few days after the attack while on duty. Activist Andrei Margulev told Mediazona about this.

According to him, on the evening of August 15, an unknown man approached Skripnichenko on the bridge and tried to speak; the activist turned away and the man punched him in the nose. According to Ilya Varlamov’s website, other activists said that the attacker shouted to Skripnichenko: “Don’t you like Putin?”

At the Sklifosovsky Research Institute, Skripnichenko was diagnosed with a broken nose. After an examination, he was discharged, but a few days later he went back to the hospital “to correct the consequences of the fracture.”

“He died on August 23. There are no results of the forensic examination yet, but he probably died due to a detached blood clot,” Mediazona quotes Margulev.
