The Russian government has decided which of the towers in the Moscow City business center about six thousand officials from the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Communications and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will move to. As Kommersant writes, almost 75 thousand square meters will be purchased for these purposes. m in the IQ Quarter complex, the construction of which is carried out by the VTB-controlled company Hals-Development.
According to the publication, for this move, AHML, as an agent for managing federal property, will borrow about 35 billion rubles from the debt market, which will be fully returned through the sale of existing real estate of the ministries. Recently, AHML ordered an assessment of the fair value of the buildings of the Ministry of Economic Development, Rosimushchestvo, Rosstat and Rosreestr in the center of Moscow. The winner of the competition was the famous auditor PwC, Interfax reported on August 17.
It is not yet known when the move will take place. The last stage of construction of the "IQ quarter" with a total area of 228 thousand square meters. m should be completed in the third quarter of 2017. In addition to office space, the complex includes apartments.
According to one of Kommersant’s interlocutors, the move of three ministries is a pilot project. If this experience is considered successful, other ministries and departments may transfer. As the newspaper notes, the move of officials to “Moscow City”, in fact, completely removes from the agenda the possibility of moving federal ministries beyond the Moscow Ring Road - to Kommunarka in New Moscow, where several years ago the government seriously planned to create something like a “bureaucratic Vatican” .
It is assumed that the relocation of government departments to one place will optimize the interaction of officials and improve the transport situation in the center of Moscow.
