
The activities of Vladimir Putin as the President of the Russian Federation are currently approved by 83% of Russians, 15% of citizens adhere to the opposite point of view, the August survey of the Levada Center showed. At the same time, a rating of confidence in Putin as a politician grew to a maximum indicator this year.
In the course of similar studies in May and June, Putin's work approved by 81% of citizens, and 18% expressed discontent. In January, it was 85%satisfied with his work, but in the following months this figure was gradually declining. The largest percentage of approval - 89 - sociologists recorded in June 2015.
At the same time, in August, up to 48% against 44 in June, the number of those who are satisfied with the work of Dmitry Medvedev as a prime minister, but more than half of the respondents - 51% are still dissatisfied with his activities. In relation to the activities of the entire government, the opinions of respondents were divided almost equally - 50% approve, 49% - no.
The State Duma approved the work of 42% of respondents, do not approve of 57%. The activities of the heads of their regions (in Moscow - mayor) are satisfied with 52% of respondents, 46% were not. These indicators have not changed in recent months.
Putin's trust rating has reached Maxim from the beginning of the year
Among politicians and public figures who are most trusted by Russians, the palm of the championship invariably remains with Putin, while in August the confidence indicator reached the highest level of the year - 58% of respondents.
In second place, Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu was approved - 30% against 26 in June, in the third position the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov remained with 21% versus 28 two months ago.
Next are the leader of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky - 13%, Medvedev - 11%, the leader of the Communist Party of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov - 9%, the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' Kirill and the Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin - 5%each.
14% of respondents do not trust any of the Russian politicians. 11% said they were not at all interested in politics.
57% of respondents believe that things in the country as a whole are in the right direction - this indicator has also become the highest since the beginning of the year. The opposite position was indicated by 29%, it found it difficult to answer 13%.
The survey was conducted on August 18-22 according to the representative All-Russian sample of the urban and rural population among 1,600 people from the age of 18 in 137 settlements of 48 regions of the country by personal interviews at the house with the respondent. The statistical error in such a sample does not exceed 3.4%, the researchers say.
