Ivan Nepomnyashchikh was released from prison

Ivan Nepomnyashchikh, convicted in the Bolotnaya case, was released early in the morning of August 24. This was reported on the “Public Verdict” Foundation’s Facebook page.

Nepomnyashchy was sentenced to two and a half years in prison on charges of participating in mass riots that allegedly took place on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow on May 6, 2012, and of using violence against police officers. He served his sentence in correctional colony No. 1 of the Yaroslavl region.

Thus, since August 24, 2017, not a single convict in the “Bolotnaya case” remained in the colonies: about a month before Nepomnyashchy, Dmitry Ishevsky was released from the same colony. However, the trial of Dmitry Buchenkov, who is under house arrest, continues , and Maxim Panfilov, accused of involvement in the events on Bolotnaya and declared insane, is in a psychiatric hospital in Astrakhan.

The persecution of Nepomniachtchi will not end with his release from the colony: the court granted the claim of the colony administration to establish administrative supervision over him.
