Kulyabin will show "three sisters" in France 19 times

Eight festivals in the field of culture of various topics are scheduled in the Novosibirsk Region in the 2017-2018 season. Local theaters will also go on tour. In particular, the Red Torch will take part in the autumn festival in Paris with the production of Three Sisters, said the Minister of Culture of the region Igor Reshetnikov on August 24.

In the new season in state theaters, 25 premiere performances are expected, the sale of tickets for which is already open, as well as 8 festivals of different directions. “Traditionally, the upcoming season will be saturated with the events of various directions-the jazz festival, a concert of the military orchestra of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the fifth Trans-Siberian art festival and many other significant events,” the government’s press service quoted.

Among the tour planned in the Novosibirsk region are the performances of the State Academic Russian Drama Theater (Almaty), the Small Drama Theater (St. Petersburg), the Kemerovo Regional Drama Theater.

In the new season, the Ministry of Culture intends to pay special attention to the arrangement of sites for theatrical productions and concerts in rural cultural houses. About 50 million rubles were allocated for their repair and reconstruction, Reshetnikov noted.

In addition, the Novosibirsk Theater "Red Torch" will go on tour to France. The production of Timofei Kulyabin“Three Sisters” will be shown 10 times as part of the autumn festival in Paris, and then another 9 in other cities of the country. All expenses for the organization of tour were taken by the receiving party, TASS said .

Kulyabin put the three sisters based on Chekhov’s play in the brutal language in 2015, becoming the chief director of the Red Torch. The performance received enthusiastic reviews of critics after showing at the largest theater festival of Europe Wiener Festwochen, and in 2017 - a special prize of the Golden Mask .

Later, Kulyabin released the “process” in Kafka in Novosibirsk, the Don Paskuale opera Gaetano Donitsetti at the Bolshoi Theater, the Chekhovsky “Ivanov” at the Moscow Theater of Nations and the Rigoletto opera, Giuseppe Verdi at the Wuppertal Theater in Germany.

The director gained wide fame after the premiere of Tangayzer at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater.
