
More than 30 people died, more than 80 were injured as a result of a terrorist attack on the Shiite mosque of Imam Zaman in Kabul. It is reported by Tolonews with reference to the security forces of Afghanistan.
Three or four armed terrorists attacked the mosque. At this time, there were about 200 parishioners who came to Friday prayer. The militants shot two guards of the mosque and wounded the other two, throwing grenades at them. Another suicide bomber blew himself up at the gate.
Afghan security forces arrived at the attack site two hours after its beginning and cordoned off the area. During the battle between terrorists and the police in the district, explosions were heard. The security forces were able to save about 100 parishioners from the captured mosque. Law enforcement officers took her storm in five hours.
The “Islamic State” took responsibility for the attack, Reuters reports with reference to the AMAQ Islamist news agency.
Afghanistan President Ashraf Gani called the attack on the mosque a crime against the people of the country.
In recent months, terrorist attacks have become more frequent in Afghanistan. On July 24, a bus was blown up in the west of Kabula , in which officials of the Ministry of Mine and Mining of Afghanistan were traveling. At least 30 people died, at least 42 were injured. Responsibility for the attack was taken by the Taliban movement. The terrorists said they blew up the bus, as there were Afghan intelligence workers there.
On May 31 , an explosion occurred in Kabul at the entrance to the German embassy . As a result of the attack, at least 80 people died, more than 350 were injured. The Islamic State took responsibility for the attack.
