Detained for a poster in memory of the 1968 rally was released with a police report

Elena Zakharova, detained during an action near Lobnoye Mesto in memory of the march to Red Square on August 25, 1968 against the entry of troops into Czechoslovakia, was released from the Kitay-Gorod police station.

A protocol was drawn up against Zakharova for repeated violation of the procedure for holding public events (Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code). The hearing in the Tverskoy District Court is scheduled for September 18 at 11:00.

A violation committed within a year after the entry into force of the last court decision on a similar violation may be considered repeated. At the Kitay-Gorod police station they told Zakharova that they were drawing up a report against her under Part 8 of Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code, since she was already detained for the fifth time in a year.

On June 21, the Tverskoy District Court issued a decision in Zakharova’s administrative case under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 (violation of the procedure for holding public events). Apparently, the case was opened after the arrest on Red Square on May 12 after the reading of the Constitution. It is not yet known what exactly the decision was made. On May 30, the court fined other participants in this action in amounts ranging from five to fifteen thousand rubles.
