The elderly artist Elena Osipova, who was detained in St. Petersburg on August 24 at a rally in honor of the Independence Day of Ukraine, was released from the police department in the evening of the same day. Human rights activist Dinar Idrisov told OVD-Info about this.
Osipova was holding a banner reading “Ukraine, I'm sorry! For your freedom and ours." She was taken to police department No. 78. According to Idrisov, Osipova was released from the department without a protocol.
