Based on the analysis of the vulnerability that Trojan is trying to use, the company connects the virus with Chinese hackers, possibly operating in the interests of the government.

According to Proofpoint, hackers distribute malicious software through a newsletter of emails that propose to find out spoilers of a popular series, as well as watch videos. The Microsoft Word document is attached to the letters, when the user is uploaded to the user, RBC reports.

The first such message was noticed by Proofpoint on August 10, the letter was sent with the theme "Wanna See the Game of Thrones in Advance?" A document attached to the letter is named "Game of Thrones Preview.docx"

In early August, HBO, which produces the "Game of Thrones", was subjected to a hacker attack, recalls RBC.
