Complete the Kansky Video Festival

On August 27, in the city of Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, the XVI International Channel Video Festival ended. The Golden Palm Secitor Grand Prix was awarded to the picture of the South Korean director Son Chu-Son “Girl behind the door”, whose heroine is trying to resist domestic violence.

The second place, according to the results of the voting of the international jury, was taken by the Atlas of the Wounded Buildings Tadeusz Tishbine (Germany), the third - the “Crown slave” of ethane Folk (USA).

A special mention of the jury was awarded the animated picture “Windows” by Angela Lipskaya (Russia), the prize of the festival press - “Creecin’s drop” Rostan Proguisiev (Malgaut), the special mention of the magazine “The Art of Cinema” - “Control” Maya Zach (Israel).

The film "Update/Delete" by Alexei Ilyin and Grigory Kalinin (Russia) received a special prize "Kinergy", established by the General Sponsor of the International Kansky Video Festival of the Siberian Generating Company (SGK).

The competition program of the festival this year had 23 short films from 16 countries. Evening shows took place in a clearing in the forest for the Kansky Drama Theater: the films were broadcast on an inflatable screen, and an awning was stretched over the audience between the pines.

The international jury of the festival under the chairmanship of the candidate of philosophical sciences, the former director of the Krasnoyarsk regional cultural and historical museum complex Mikhail Shubsky (Krasnoyarsk) included a doctor of philological sciences, a leading researcher at the Russian Institute of Arts, Svetlana Adonyev (Petersburg), a doctor of philosophy, and a teacher of the open University of Israeli Uri Gershovich (Israel), artist Vladislav Gultyev (Kansk), director and artist Vladimir Seleznev (Yekaterinburg), director and video artist Evi Schubert (Germany).

The Extracurricular program of the video festival included special programs of the Kansky Choice films, the paintings of Evgeny Yufit “Papa, Santa Claus died, accompanied by a performance of a performance, a member of Jury Uri Gershovich and poet Andrei Rodionov, as well as the Kanskskinsky premieres of the cinema almanac“ Russia as a dream ”, shot by guests of the festival in 2015, and a fantastic comedy “ Lying ” Andrei Silvestrova . Jury Avi Schubert, a laureate of last year’s festival, who came to Kansk with the support of the Goethe-Institute in Novosibirsk, made the author's retrospective.

From August 31 to September 3, the film “Lestone” and all the works of the competitive program of the XVI International Kansky Video Festival will be presented in the Moscow Cinema October.

In parallel with the video festival in Kansk, the literary festival“Zazubin” was held, the main directions of which this year were Freystail, Storitelling and the improvisation theater, and the architectural festival, which presented several original exhibitions, as well as the discussions united by the theme of “Architecture and Liberty”, with the participation of artists, curators, critics and architects from architects. Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Paris, Novosibirsk, Tomsk and Nizhny Novgorod.

On August 26, at one of the exhibitions, the work of a civil activist and artist Matvey Krylov was dismantled in which they saw the propaganda of non -traditional sexual relations.

President of the festival Andrei Silvestrov learned about the incident from the message "Echo of Moscow" .

“This work ... at the request of officials, they removed from the exhibition in the Kansky forest. <...> I admit that in this situation it is impossible to talk about art. He commented . - Wanting to save the festival, we inflicted the biggest blow on it. I am especially embarrassing in front of friends-artists who supported us and gave our work for the auction in support of the festival, we did not carry out the auction, since the sponsor appeared. But the fact of joint support was very important and unusually motioned. We now could not stand the exam for solidarity. ”
