Yakov Papp died

On August 27, a Russian economist and publicist, professor of the Higher School of Economics Yakov Papp, died in Moscow.

This was announced by Associate Professor Roat Mit Farid Khusainov.

Yakov Shayavich Papp was born in 1953 in Moscow, graduated from the Department of Economic Cybernetics of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University (1975).

He worked at the Institute of World Economics and International Relations of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, was the chief researcher at the Institute of National Economic Forecasting of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

He taught at the IFTI and the Higher School of Economics, Doctor of Economics (2002, the dissertation “Russian large business as an economic phenomenon of 1992-2001: institutional aspect”).

In 2000, he published a detailed historical and economic essay “Oligarchs: Economic Chronicles, 1992–2000”, in 2008 he released his continuation-“Russian large business: the first 15 years. Economic chronicles 1993–2008. ”

The author of scientific and journalistic articles and translations of work on economic statistics from English and German.
