The first prize in the field of musical technology Synthposium Awards was awarded

On August 27, at the Synthposium festival in Moscow, the first award in the field of musical technology Synthposium Awards 2017 took place.

The winners in the main nominations - Russian and foreign engineers and manufacturers - were chosen a jury from among the participants of the exhibition of the Synthposium festival, at which more than 50 independent and world brands were presented.

In the nomination "Best Eurorack -Module" , SSSR Labs won with the Matrixarchate module. In the nomination “Best Synthesizer”, the laureate was engineer Roman Filippov with Deckard's Dream , whose offline prime minister took place at the Synthposium festival. In the nomination “Sound processing”, the prize is awarded to VG Line for the 12BITCRUSER model.

In addition to the main nominations at the festival, phenomena in the industry that develop it were noted.

The Polivoks.PrO team received the “Preservation of the Heritage” nomination, which creatively rethought the idea and inspired a new life into the concept and production of the legendary Soviet analogy synthesizer Polovkas, with the participation of Moscow developers of Alexei Taber and Alexander Pleninger, and with the support of the Yekaterinburg engineer and the support of the Yekaterinburgsky engineer and creator of the prototype, Vladimir Kuzmin.

In the nomination “Released Production”, the award was awarded the underground laboratory with manual production of Soma Laboratory , founded by radio engineer and musician Vlad Creimer.

In the nomination “Popularization: Educational Initiative” PlayTronica was awarded.

The Synthposium 2017 music and technology festival was held in Moscow from August 24 to 27. Its main platforms were the Winzavod Modern Art Center and the Artplay Design Center.

The festival was attended by more than 150 foreign and Russian artists. In addition to the exhibition and events of the musical part, lectures, master classes, discussions with experts in the field of musical engineering were held at Synthposium , and audiovisual installations were presented.

The award was supported by the Department of Development of Industry of Social and Reasonable Products of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the All-Russian Museum Association of Musical Culture named after M.I. Glinka
