The Moscow Exchange is working on the creation of infrastructure for cryptocurrency trading. This was announced in the press service of the trading platform by RNS.
As noted, in particular, the Moscow Exchange is working on the creation of a post-tracing service of crypto assets. “In parallel, we are conducting a dialogue with regulators to clarify all legal issues of organizing crypto actuas trading in the Russian exchange market and ensuring the protection of interests of acquirers of such assets,” the representative of the site explained.
He added that trading as cryptocurrencies, their derivatives and stock funds for cryptocurrencies (ETF) is possible on the exchange platform. It is easiest to organize trading derivatives for cryptocurrency, the representative of the exchange noted.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister of Finance Alexei Moiseev proposed allowing the purchase of cryptocurrencies only to qualified investors, and not to “ordinary people”. At the same time, he emphasized that it is necessary to sell cryptocurrency only through the exchange. You can continue to call cryptocurrency currency, but define it as “other property” and regulate it as a financial asset, said Moiseev.
For several years, the Russian authorities have been discussing the opportunity to establish responsibility for the use of cryptocurrencies, as well as options for how to regulate them. Now cryptocurrency can be bought at different sites, many of which are just exchangers, not exchanges.
