Former Deputy Head of the FSB Office, General Oleg Feoktistov, retires. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to two sources familiar with the situation.
“The decision has been made, the corresponding order is being prepared,” said one of the sources. Another source confirmed information about the dismissal of Feoktistov. “Yes, the retirement is unexpected,” he said.
The agency did not receive official comments of the FSB.
On August 17, The Bell, citing the source, reported that Feoktistov, after dismissal from the post of vice president of Rosneft, was not taken back to work in the FSB . The decree on the appointment of a general for a post in the special service was to be signed by Vladimir Putin. However, the sources of The Bell told, the Kremlin was unhappy with the too active participation of the FSB in the affairs of the oil company.
In mid -November 2016, the name of Feoktistov was mentioned in connection with the detention of the head of the Ministry of Education Alexei Ulyukaev, against whom the case of bribery was discovered. It was reported that it was this security officer that initiated the persecution of the minister . It was also argued that he personally participated in "operational-technical events."
On August 16, at the first hearing on the merits of his business in the Zamoskvoretsky district court of Moscow, Ulyukaev accused of the chief executive director of Rosneft Igor Sechin and Feoktistov of provoking a bribe. The former minister made such a statement after the prosecutor of the indictment. The defendant will make detailed testimony later, after interrogations of witnesses of the prosecution.
Until last year, Feoktistov, also known, nicknamed Oleg Bolshoi and General Fix, was the first deputy head of the FSB Office. It was reported that he directly managed the work of the 6th Service of the FSB USB, nicknamed the Sechinsky special forces. The general was considered a person close to Sichin.
The general public Feoktistov became known in the fall of 2007 in connection with the case of General Gosnarko control Alexander Bulbov . Subsequently, he led the detentions of the head of the Main Directorate of Economic Security and Countering Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Denis Svugrobov and his deputy Boris Kolesnikov. Also, the 6th service was delayed by the Governor of Sakhalin Alexander Khoroshavin, the head of the Komi Vyacheslav Gaiser, the mayor of Vladivostok Igor Pushkarev, the Kirov Governor Nikita Belykh.
At the end of August 2016, it became known that Feoktistov was transferred to the apparatus of seconded FSB officers . Security forces from the apparatus of seconded employees are appointed by order of the director of the FSB for strategically important enterprises, such as state corporations, banks and oil companies, for their control. In September of the same year, the general was appointed vice president - the head of the Rosneft Security Service and a member of its board.
However, in early March 2017, information appeared that Feoktistov was fired both from Rosneft and the FSB . The reasons for this were not reported.
A few days later, Sechin partially confirmed this information . He stated that the general left the state -owned company and returned "to military service." Documented by Feoktistov was issued only a month later, after a meeting of the board of directors of Rosneft on April 5.
