The last time the North Korean missile flew over the territory of Japan in 2009. Then Japan, the USA and South Korea considered this a test of a ballistic missile, but Pyongyang claimed that it was a rocket that delivered a satellite into space.
On August 5, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted the US -prepared resolution on new sanctions against the DPRK. The document was prepared in response to two launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles carried out by Pyongyan in July .
Sanctions are prohibited by UN members to import coal, iron, iron ore, lead and seafood from the DPRK, hire new workers from North Korea and open new joint enterprises with this country. According to the US State Department, this will reduce the annual profit of the DPRK from exports from 3 to 2 billion dollars a year.
