The Federal Customs Service revealed a network of 29 Russian companies, which massively delivered sanctions products through Belarus to the country. This was reported by RBC with reference to sources in the FCS.

Suspicions were made by companies that had contracts with one of the three Belarusian suppliers - the republican unitary enterprise Beltamozhservis, LLC GAZ VENchura or Globalkasta LLC. They specialize in the import into Belarus of products that fell under the Russian embargo.

Since the beginning of 2015, according to the FCS, 29 Russian companies transferred three Belarusian counterparties only for fruit and vegetable products of more than $ 125 million.

The FCS initiated cases of administrative offenses against Russian companies. According to the agency’s source, they are also threatened with other restrictions. In particular, the FCS will transfer to the Central Bank data on dubious operations. "The Central Bank is ready to provide a refusal to transfer funds from Russian companies to Belarusian counterparties," the source said.

In addition, Rosakcreditation, after receiving data from the FCS, withdrew the license from three Russian laboratories that issued permits for the products of these companies.

According to Rosselkhoznadzor, in August 2015, when the destruction of sanctions products began, and by the end of July 2017, more than 16.5 thousand tons of smuggled fruits and vegetables and more than 600 tons of meat and cheese were detained. It is not known how many sanctions products got to Russia. However, most of them enter the country from Belarus.

The embargo for the supply of products from countries that adopted sanctions against Russia was introduced on August 7, 2014. On June 30, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the extension of the food embargo until the end of 2018.

On July 29, 2015, Putin signed a decree on the destruction of sanctions products on the Russian border. According to the document, all products from the countries that the Russian food embargo are applied to. The exception, said in the decree, is only "goods imported by individuals for personal use, or placed under the customs procedure of customs transit and transported to third countries."
