In addition, banks had a low level of sufficiency of the authorized capital. Ten days later, it became known that another bank in Tatarstan, Start, limited the issuance of cash to individuals.

As a result of the crisis, on March 30, Midhat Shagiakhmetov, the head of the National Bank, the structural unit of the Central Bank in Tatarstan, was dismissed. Previously, he held posts in the government of the republic, and therefore we could assume that the Central Bank unit in Tatarstan until recently was under the control of local elites.
