Uber will stop monitoring users after traveling

Uber will stop tracking the location of customers within five minutes after the end of the trip. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the head of the security service of Joe Sullivan.

Changes in settings will allow Uber customers to share their geolocation only while using the application. IPhone owners will be able to test the update this week. When it is available for Android, the company was not specified.

As Sullivan noted, the update is not related to changes in the company's management.
