The RAS Commission is fighting pseudoscience, and this is the right and necessary thing. However, pseudoscience (in the person of the same A.T. Fomenko), perhaps, is not so terrible in comparison with ersatz science, because you need to be a completely uneducated person to believe in outright nonsense, but the absurdity and absurdity of folk hypotheses and theories -historians, like the same A. A. Tyunyaev or V. A. Chudinov, are sometimes obvious only to specialists in a particular field, but not to journalists and the general reader.
