In Severodvinsk, Dmitry Sekushin, a volunteer at the local headquarters of opposition politician Alexei Navalny, was accused on August 29 of displaying Nazi symbols on Vkontakte (Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code), according to the group “Team Navalny | Arkhangelsk".
Sekushin was detained on August 29. The volunteer told OVD-Info that he received a call from the department and was asked to come to testify.
“As a law-abiding citizen, of course, I agreed and came, after the conversation they immediately drew up a report against me and accused me of displaying Nazi symbols,” said the volunteer.
The police found two pictures on Sekushin’s VKontakte page that contained Nazi symbols. The volunteer himself told the publication that the pictures are humorous and do not promote anything.
Sekushin said that he was experiencing health problems. He spent the night in a temporary detention center, where he became ill. An ambulance was called for the volunteer. Sekushin is currently in court.
