The Moscow City Court upheld the decision to extend the house arrest of ex-Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev until January 27, 2018, reports . RIA Novosti
Thus, the court dismissed the defense's appeal against the decision of the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow.
Earlier, in the Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow, a trial began in the case of the former Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukaev. Judge Larisa Semenova extended house arrest until January 27.
Recall that Aleksey Ulyukaev was detained in November 2016. A bag containing $2 million was found in the trunk of a company car. According to investigators, Ulyukaev extorted this money from the head of Rosneft for a positive assessment by the Ministry of Economic Development of the deal to purchase the state-owned stake in Bashneft.
Ulyukaev does not admit his guilt, and during the meeting he stated that a provocation had been committed against him.
“A charge was fabricated against me, which was based precisely on the fictitious testimony of Sechin (the head of Rosneft, Igor Sechin - ed. ). The transfer of a bag of money to me was planned in advance by the FSB officers. They were waiting for Sechin's testimony. And he himself called me then under the pretext of discussing some questions about the company. And in the end he persuaded me to drive up to him, ”Ulyukaev said in court.
