A volunteer from Alexei Navalny’s headquarters was detained in Severodvinsk

In Severodvinsk, on August 29, Dmitry Sekushin, a volunteer at the local headquarters of politician Alexei Navalny, was detained. The activist was accused of displaying Nazi symbols for publishing two pictures on Vkontakte (Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This was reported in the group “Team Navalny | Arkhangelsk".

As Dmitry Sekushin himself said in a telephone conversation with OVD-Info, he lives in Arkhangelsk, but is registered in Severodvinsk. “They called me on the phone and asked me to come and testify. As a law-abiding citizen, of course, I agreed and came, after the conversation they immediately drew up a protocol against me and accused me of demonstrating Nazi symbols.

On the volunteer's page on the Vkontakte social network, police officers found two pictures depicting Nazi symbols. Sekushin said that the pictures are humorous and do not aim to promote Nazi symbols, rather the opposite.

Dmitry Sekushin spent the whole night before the trial in the temporary detention center. Due to poor health yesterday, an ambulance had to be called to the department. Now he is in court.

UPD. 16:45 The Severodvinsk City Court fined Dmitry Sekushin a thousand rubles.
