Ex-Senator Dzhabrailov was detained after shooting at a Moscow hotel

The police detained a former senator from Chechnya, businessman Umar Dzhabrailov. It is reported by Kommersant.

According to the publication, Dzhabrailov fired at Four Seasons Hotel in the center of Moscow. As a result of the incident, no one was injured. According to the newspaper, the police opened a criminal case of hooliganism (Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

Later, TASS, citing a source in law enforcement agencies, said that Dzhabrailov was intoxicated. “In drug or alcohol, an examination will show,” the agency’s interlocutor noted. Kommersant wrote that "according to some reports, traces of narcotic drugs were found in his [Dzhabrailov] blood."

Sources of RBC said that in the room of the ex-Senator found “unknown powder” of white color, he was sent for examination.

Umar Dzhabrailov represented Chechnya in the Federation Council from 2004 to 2009, he held the post of deputy chairman of the committee of the Council of International Affairs.
