Singer Alexander Ermak was detained on suspicion of murder in Moscow

The police detained singer Alexander Ermak, suspected of murdering his lawyer friend on the night of August 23-24 in an apartment on Khoroshevskoye Highway, Interfax reports , citing an informed source.

The representative of the Moscow department of the Investigative Committee, Yulia Ivanova, without naming the singer’s name, confirmed to the agency that a man suspected of murdering his friend had been detained.

“According to the investigation, on the night of August 23-24, 2017, a conflict arose between men while drinking alcohol in an apartment in one of the residential buildings on Khoroshevskoe Highway in Moscow. During an argument, the accused stabbed his 45-year-old acquaintance at least 17 times in the torso area. After which the man fled the scene. The victim died on the spot from his injuries,” Ivanova said.

According to her, the suspect admitted his guilt. The court sent him to a pre-trial detention center.

“Moskovsky Komsomolets” writes that during the meeting, Ermak’s friend suddenly undressed and began walking around the apartment naked, and also began hinting at the singer about an intimate relationship.

“In response, Alexander grabbed a knife and inflicted 11 wounds on his friend, from which the man died. While striking, Ermak injured his hand, so straight from the scene of the murder he went to the pharmacy to get a band-aid,” the newspaper reports.

After the murder, Ermak allegedly washed off the blood in the shower, took two laptops and two mobile phones and left the apartment. Moskovsky Komsomolets clarifies that the singer left with his personal driver, to whom he told about the murder. The driver recorded the confession on his phone recorder and then contacted the police.
