The coordinator of Navalny's headquarters was detained in Volgograd. He is accused of rehabilitating Nazism

At the Volgograd airport, the investigator detained the coordinator of Navalny's local headquarters, Alexei Volkov. about this Volkov wrote on Twitter. Now the activist is going to the Central District Court, where the investigation is petitioning to change his measure of restraint.

On Wednesday, August 30, the investigator promised to detain Volkov at the airport when he arrived in the city.

According to investigators, Volkov violated his travel ban when he left for Moscow. According to the activist, the investigator verbally allowed him to make that trip.

Volkov is charged under Part 3 of Art. 354.1 (“public desecration of the symbol of Russian military glory”). As desecration, the investigation interprets the publication on the Internet of a picture in which the monument "Motherland" seems to be doused with green paint.
