From January 1, 2018, Ukraine introduces new rules for crossing the border for citizens from countries that may pose a threat to national security, including Russia. The corresponding decree was signed by President Petro Poroshenko, the press service of the head of state reports .

A system of fixing biometric data at the checkpoints through the state border is created. The capacities of the existing centers for the provision of administrative services will also be expanded and the construction of new ones, primarily near the control points of the entry and exit.
